Bow down to the GOWN OF THE DECADE!
The 2000s were a wild time to experiment and achieve a look as everything was an amalgamation of everything all at once. Pageants on the other side, experienced the same influx of different aesthetics during this time.
All thanks to you all that we finally have the one gown that transcended styles, trends and class! And as it's customary, we will announce the results in reverse order.
First up we have 2nd runner up - The yellow gown from 2008's Miss Universe pageant worn by Dayana Mendoza
If there is one performance I could watch on repeat it would be this one! TWIRL for days!
Next up, we have 1st Runner up- The red satin number from 2010's Miss Universe edition worn by Ximena Navarrete
This red fiery number had the Mexico's love affair with red gown going! What a stunning piece by Sherri Hill to close the decade with!
Drum rolls please!
...and the gown of the decade 2001-2010 is....
The dress created quite a stir in the pageant world as it stood as a heavenly creation that pierced through Zuleyka's skin due to its metal chain. The unconventional material, as opposed to it's contemporaries using satins and georgette's as base material for the gown, not only stood out but also became a unique metal work of wearable art. The gown was designed by Carlos Alberto.

I have heard that Zuleyka's gown was very tight and heavy that it squeezed her too much and just minutes after her crowing she fainted because of it and the boyfriend of one of the contestants who was a doctor told them to cut a little open in the dress, after they cut open a little she regained consciousness again. That's what I heard
