LOOK: Pageant Queens honour to the South Asian Glamour
Dark lit ambience, elegant spacious palaces and that historic garb of shararas have made Heeramandi a welcoming vibe of the year. I mean who is not talking about Heera Mandi? Be it’s characters, songs, setup, chemistry, royalty or the gorgeous outfits the queens wore. The show has added its fuel to the nostalgia in the most pompous manner. While Heeramandi is attracting the viewers, Asoka has grabbed the make-up enthusiasts by storm as they showcase the bridal make up trend loosely based on Kareena Kapoor’s look in the movie.

As far as the craze is concerned, I personally see Heeramandi as a masterpiece. On one hand, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was successful in showcasing and representing that era beautifully. However, I hope the series had a gradual ending instead of an abrupt one. The director as a visionary was able to bring up events that highlight the influence of women and their contribution to the path of independence.
I have to admire the outfits that the actors flaunted during the movie which has made them the talk of the town. I couldn’t think of any other way of showing you the proof itself of how pageant titleholders were able to articulate the love for South Asian clothing in the light of Heeramandi, Asoka and the recent edition of Miss World in India.
Here are some breathtaking styles where the culture was appreciated by many international pageant queens!
