FASHIONISTAS AT MISS UNIVERSE : WHO ARE THE TRENDSETTERS
The fashion fever is on with Miss Universe right now. As the delegates go to and fro from the hotel lobby, my day starts with checking out what the countries are wearing for the day. From the window looking in, this edition is giving influencer vibes. The dressing style looks layered to perfection. Do I miss the more mature, formal nature of styles? Sure; but I have to accept this change as well.
The following countries have made an etch on my fashionable mind. That being said, I wish the delegates had the opportunity to visit some local sites to showcase their daylooks. Nonetheless, here are the ones that have been making their mark on the fashionable UNIVERSE!
GUINEA
From her Miss World days, Saran has caught my eye. And she has managed to hold my attention in the best way possible. From larger than life palazzos to dramatic all black looks. Saran has brought playful seriousness to Miss Universe!
SLOVAKIA
As I mentioned Influencer style and this is what Slovakia is bringing to the legacy of MU. Each style is minimally put together and brings the functionality to the styles.
BAHAMAS
Bahamas this year decided to bring the colour to the grey golden palette of Miss Universe. It’s a notion that colours seem too much but given the exotic landscape that is Mexico, it is a refreshing change. Also, doesn’t she remind of Eve from Tyra Bank’s movie Life Size?
PHILIPPINES
Down to earth and queenly aura, these two qualities never fail to impress. From denims to red saucy numbers, whatever Philippines adorns is just classy and done in a queenly manner.
AUSTRALIA
Australia showed us that there is no need for glitter to make your presence felt. We often denote pageants with sequins but Australia brings that vixen energy to Miss Universe. The form fitting looks denote her confidence and solid colours denote her focused state of mind. Loved it!
ZIMBABWE
Bringing the aspect of quiet luxury, Zimbabwe marked this edition with looks that latched onto this trend very immaculately. From solid colours to shapes that are very easy to adapt, Zimbabwe is playing the cards right to stand out in the sea of timeless trends.
