When the virtual curtain lifted on Miss Runway Royale’s coronation night, the energy was unmistakable, not just celebration, but transformation. In a world where mentorship meets elegance, three young women claimed their crowns with poise that transcended screens.

Days later, we sat down with them over a quiet call. A soft chime signaled each arrival, face lighting up and revealing the women behind the title: Swarbapi Bhattacharjee, your new Miss Runway Royale.

Here is her story, her words unchanged.

Meet Swarbapi Bhattacharjee — Miss Runway Royale

Strength in softness. Purpose in presence. That’s the aura she brings.

On screen, Swarbapi’s presence feels quietly commanding, the kind of strength that doesn’t need volume. She speaks with clarity, with conviction, with a softness that holds its own power.

Who has shaped your outlook on strength and compassion the most?
My mother is my role model because she taught me that you can be giving in nature without losing yourself. I learned from her that you don’t have to be loud to be strong. Presence isn’t volume; it’s values.

How do you personally define success in your journey?
For me, success is progress you can feel, not just results you can post. It’s growing the discipline, character, and patience that get you there. It’s success when your progress inspires someone else to believe they can progress too.

What would you say to people who misunderstand modern pageantry?
I understand where that concern comes from. Today, pageantry is about advocacy, leadership, and using visibility for impact—not just appearance. Pageantry isn’t a show; it’s a stage, and what you say on it defines you.

Where do you see your platform taking you in the next five years?
In five years, I see myself using my platform to mentor young women and create opportunities I didn’t have. I want to be known not just for my achievements but for the people I’ve helped grow along the way.

What does beauty mean to you today?
Beauty, to me, is authenticity. It is the courage to be yourself in a world that constantly tells you who to be. It matters today because authenticity inspires others to drop the mask too.

What has the runway taught you during the mentorship journey?
I learned that the runway doesn’t test your walk—it tests your presence. And I am grateful to the NIC team for creating a space where we can refine that.

What made you join this programme, and what kept you going?
I joined because I wanted to challenge my limits and become a better version of myself. I kept going because I understood that small corrections create big transformations. That consistency kept me moving forward.

Why would you recommend this mentorship programme?
I would recommend this mentorship programme because it offers a safe space to make mistakes, receive feedback, and grow without judgment—and it provides the chance to learn from industry experts.

Why is this mentorship significant for your growth?
This mentorship is significant because it bridges who you are with who you are capable of becoming. It normalises feedback, and that’s where most growth begins.

Describe your Miss Runway Royale experience in three words.
Transformative.
Rewarding.
Insightful.

She signs off with a poised smile — the kind that speaks of a woman not crowned by chance, but by choice and character.
