As September has started, the pageant world has started buzzing more with the anticipation of the finals due to take place at the end of the year. While the anticipation is building up, let's look at how some sash factor countries are seeing new leadership and how sustainability is the upcoming new formula to a winning wardrobe.

Thom Brodeur Acquires Miss USA- Will We Get Our New It Girl?

Thom Brodeur is officially the new owner of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA. He acquired a special license for ten years for these sister pageants and we are quite excited to see how Miss USA and Miss Teen USA transform under his leadership into a phenomenal brand. Brodeur is ready to launch #AmericasItgirl, which is indeed exciting because the label of It Girl has been the new formula to create authenticity and personal brand among the pageant ladies. Brodeur has also been awarded the ‘Best Supporter’ of pageantry award in the Global Beauty Awards Show. His couture, collaboration and expertise have created unique magic throughout his years in pageantry, and one thing we know for sure is that he can definitely create the ‘It Girl’ we will never forget.

Stylishly Sustainable with Juliette Taylor

Juliette Taylor, the new International United Miss United Kingdom had one of the most beautiful and powerful advocacies we have seen in recent days. Taylor with her project ‘Wear the Change- Stylishly Sustainable’, ran a social campaign to promote sustainability in fashion. With the tons of waste that fashion industries, especially fast fashion which is common in pageantry takes place, Juliette’s advocacy shines through as a project of impact that makes many aware of the need for sustainability.

She also ran a social media campaign featuring over 30 women from across the UK and America who wear sustainable outfits and manage to look stylish, confident and fresh. She also collaborated with Smart Works Newcastle to collect donations of workwear items that can transform the lives of unemployed women. Not only did Juliette ensure sustainability in her own wardrobe but she enabled this change around her through a perfect in person and digital outreach campaign.

Bahun Nongrum- Standing out at Miss Earth India 2025

Bahun Nongrum, finalist of Miss Earth India 2025 and Miss Meghalaya 2024 has been serving some of the best curated outfits we have seen this year in national pageants. Her wardrobe is not only trendy, but is curated by designers from the North East of India- usually known for their expertise in pageantry fashion. Her Departure look and Sashing look have been real stand outs, and the sashing look especially reminded us of a Disney Fairytale.
